A
dust bath is an unusual type of bath – this sounds like a paradoxical statement
because dust is not a term we normally associate with cleansing. But it is believed that birds
participate in dust baths to help them get rid of parasites.
A
bird dust bath is really dry soil that we term dust. The birds perform this bathing ritual by flinging loose dry
dirt over themselves. They look
just as if they are bathing in water!
Testing the dust, splashing, and fluttering, etc.
